Traffic was blocked on both lanes of California’s Golden Gate Bridge on Monday, the California Highway Patrol told FOX News Digital, and images emerging from the scene included words such as “Stop the world for Gaza” and “Gaza An anti-Israel demonstrator is pictured holding a banner with the message “End the world for the sake of Israel.” Siege Gaza now! ”
A similar demonstration also shut down traffic on Interstate 880 in Oakland.
“Due to public demonstrations, southbound travel on the Golden Gate Bridge into San Francisco is affected. Please expect delays and use alternative routes,” the San Francisco Office of Emergency Management said in a statement.
According to KRON, seven demonstrators at the Oakland protest were chained to a concrete barrel in the middle of a roadway.
