During Friday’s NewsNation “Cuomo” broadcast, Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.), a Biden surrogate, said President Joe Biden clearly did not perform well in Thursday night’s debate, saying he doesn’t know what President Joe Biden’s “advisers were thinking about having a debate at 9 p.m. He’s not going to have a lot of people around him in their 70s and 80s, but he performs a lot better in the daytime.”
Khanna said, “The president clearly did not have a good night, and he acknowledged that, and said, ‘I’m an old guy. I don’t know what his advisers are thinking, having a debate at 9 p.m. He probably doesn’t have a lot of people in their 70s and 80s around him, but he does a lot better in the daytime. He was at a rally today and he was honest, ‘Americans love a comeback. We love people who stumble and fall, but make a comeback and run the tape. I’m in this race because I have a vision for this country. I still think he has a chance to win and I’m going to be in the race.'”
