Cade Collins, who was attending the parade with his father, told Fox 4KC the full story of the ordeal.

“I heard 10 to 12 gunshots and I thought it was fireworks, so I didn’t really panic or get too excited at first. But then everyone started screaming and started running. ” Collins said. “Once the crowd was out of the way, I saw three people on the ground with gunshot wounds. One girl had been shot in the leg. A second woman had also been shot and had something wrapped around her leg. He was tied up. He had a tourniquet wrapped around him and his leg was covered in blood.”
