10 Best and Worst Dressed from the 2024 Grammys

From a fashion perspective, the Grammys belonged to one person, but several big names made it big on music’s biggest night. Below, we reviewed the best and worst dressed of the evening!

Best Dressed Award: Miley Cyrus (Maison Margiela)

Spoiler: This night belonged to Miley Cyrus, mainly because she paid homage to some greats in a way that looked…well, Miley Cyrus, but was done tastefully. .

First up is her Maison Margiela naked dress. Harken Back in 1997, when creative director John Galliano was leading his eponymous brand. The Cleopatra-like look, created using just a safety pin to create a polarizing effect, is exactly what Good’s fashion should be.

Worst Dressed: Schiaparelli’s Taylor Swift

No matter how many Grammys you win, no matter how much public attention you get, no matter how much success you have, if you have bad taste, you can’t change that.

As I’ve always said, people are born with a style. Looking at this Schiaparelli number, it’s safe to say that Taylor Swift was born with other talents.

Best Dressed Award: Miley Cyrus in Gucci

Miley Cyrus kept changing it up all night long. For her first Grammy Awards, she wore a custom Gucci sequined dress by Sabato de Sarno, carried a Gucci Bamboo 1947 handbag, and paired it with matching burgundy Signoria pumps.

This is a charm.

Best Dressed: Lana Del Rey

Lana Del Rey is notorious for wearing fashion from unknown designers. For example, her previous Grammys outfit was one she bought at the mall hours before. In this sheer black velvet knee-length dress, Lana seems to be channeling the great Loretta Lynn, who loved her puffy shoulders, bows, loud patterns, and girlishness.

Perhaps this look can be seen as a nod to Lana’s next album, which is expected to take on rural America.

Worst Dressed: Billie Eilish (Chrome Hearts)

Award show after award show, clown Billie Eilish ends up on my worst dressed list. She’s on this list mainly because I feel bad that she didn’t dress up as a grunge Barbie, and she missed out on a huge opportunity!

Best Dressed Award: Miley Cyrus (Bob Mackie)

In perhaps the most dazzling look of the night, Miley Cyrus even tapped into the archives of famed designer Bob Mackie to perform this sequin-encrusted number, leading Cher and Tina Turner from their group. Ta. performance together cher show In 1975.

Homage fashion can be difficult because the wearer wants to be themselves. I think Miley did it almost perfectly.

Worst Dressed: Thom Browne’s Boygenius

The girl group Boygenius resembles the possessed children in horror movies who are horrified when seen walking down the long, dark corridors of an old Victorian era. But at the same time, they could easily be the von Trapp children. sound of music Wearing a suit made from living room curtains.

Best Dressed Award: Miley Cyrus (Bob Mackie)

For another Bob Mackie number from the archives, Miley Cyrus spent some time backstage channeling her godmother Dolly Parton, who was also a big fan of Mackie in her heyday.the grease Meet Dolly in the most delicious way.

Worst Dressed: Beyoncé in Louis Vuitton

If Miley is channeling Dolly, Cher, and Tina all night long, Beyoncé is channeling Colonel Sanders with Louis Vuitton’s new collection.

Best Dressed Award: Mark Ronson in Gucci

Mark Ronson made it onto my best-dressed list because there’s something to be said for a star who has a personal style and sticks to it, regardless of trends.

Wearing a classic double-breasted suit with Gucci horsebit loafers, Ronson ages like fine wine. Men, please be careful. You can’t go wrong with a tailored suit, wide lapels, and leather loafers.
