I said The 10-year-old was dropped off at a hospital with signs of “terrifying” abuse that was believed to have been caused by his mother.
Kimberly Mills and Andred Wayne Walker took the boy to Advent Hulls Waterman Hospital in Tavares around 10pm on Saturday. Mills is the boy's mother, but police have not yet decided on his relationship with Walker.
“To put it plainly, this child was tortured.”
Hospital staff immediately noticed burns and bruises at various stages of healing, indicating that the injury was given over a period of time. Walker immediately left the hospital, and Mills left after learning that police had been called. She later returned with the boy's brother.

“It's clear that this child has been terribly abused. He's covered from head to toe. Sorry,” Dett said. Courtney Sullivan. “This child has been subjected to further abuse that I am unable to discuss at this time.”
The child was airlifted to the trauma centre
“This 10-year-old boy is fighting for his life. He is in a state of crisis and we are not sure what direction his healing will take,” Sullivan added. “To put it bluntly, this child was tortured.”
Mills was booked on aggravated child abuse charges, but Walker surrendered himself to the Lake County Sheriff's Office Monday, facing accessory charges after the facts aggravated child abuse.
Both were held without being restrained. Police said the accusations could rise if the boy was not pulled out.
The neighbor told Wesh-TV that he had never seen any signs of abuse at his home. Police said they had obtained important evidence from the House but did not show anything that was included.
