Twelve jurors and four alternates have been selected for Hunter Biden’s gun crimes trial.

According to the report, the jury was selected Monday and includes “three Black women, three white women, four Black men and two white men.”

Nearly all of the potential jurors said during the selection process that they know someone who abuses drugs or alcohol or who currently struggles with addiction.

Nearly all of them also indicated that they had already read news reports about the Hunter incident.

Opening statements will begin at 9 a.m. Tuesday in court.

“The first two charges overlap. He is accused of making false statements in connection with a firearm sale and making false statements in a firearms transaction record.”

Prosecutors argue the defendant committed a crime by checking the “no” box next to a question asking whether he was an illegal user of or addicted to a controlled substance.

The third charge is that Hunter Biden violated laws prohibiting illegal drug users or drug addicts from possessing firearms.” Reuters.

If convicted, the president’s son faces up to 25 years in prison, fines of up to $250,000 on each charge and three years of probation.
