A suspect opened fire at the Mad Butcher in Fordyce, Arkansas, leaving 13 people shot, three of them fatally.
The suspect was wounded in a shootout with police.
of New York Post report 911 operators were called to report the shooting had begun just before 11:40 a.m., CBS News I got it. The shooting happened outside The Mad Butcher.
Among those injured were two police officers and the suspected shooter, with injuries sustained that are not life-threatening.
Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders responded to the incident:
I have been notified about the tragic shooting in Fordyce and am in constant contact with State Police on the scene. I thank the police and emergency responders for their swift and brave actions to save lives. My prayers go out to the victims and all those affected by this incident…

“It’s a tragedy,” Arkansas State Police Colonel Mike Hager said. [and] Our hearts are broken…. Along with Governor Sanders and the entire state of Arkansas, we are praying for this community and the victims affected.”
It is unclear whether the suspect used a handgun or a long gun.
