More than a dozen people were injured Tuesday when a sport utility vehicle crashed into the front glass wall of a Las Cruces thrift store, authorities said.
First responders said 10 of the 15 people injured in Tuesday’s crash were taken to hospitals for treatment, with one person suffering life-threatening injuries.

The injured included employees and customers inside the Savers store.
Fifteen people were injured when an SUV crashed through the front glass wall of a New Mexico thrift store.
Las Cruces Police and Fire Department spokesman Dan Trujillo said the cause of the accident is unknown, but it does not appear to be intentional.
Sabers employee Elijah Sanchez said he heard people “screaming in pain” after the 10:30 a.m. accident.
“It was a pretty chaotic situation,” Sanchez told Las Cruces television station KFOX 14/CBS 4. He said: “He didn’t know what to think, but he just knew that the best thing to do was to go and help those in need.” ”

The SUV driver’s name and age were not immediately released by authorities.
