A 15-year-old Texas boy has been charged with killing his neighbor in a hot tub, after he reportedly told investigators he just wanted to see what it would feel like to stab someone.
The young teenager was arrested nine days after school bus driver Dana Magnuson, 62, was found dead with multiple stab wounds in a shed behind her Hockley home on July 20, authorities said. He told ABC13.
Investigators believe she was first attacked in the bathtub at her home and then the fight moved to her own home and then the shed where she was found.
“There was still blood everywhere,” his son, Tyler Pitney, said. He told Fox 26“To be honest, it hasn’t really sunk in yet.”
According to ABC13 sources, the arrested teen suspect told investigators he wanted to know what it felt like to stab someone.
The suspect has not been identified because of his age, but the slain woman’s son said the boy was a neighbor who helped his mother with lawn care and other household chores.
“There’s nothing unusual about him, he seems like a normal kid, he seems to come from a decent family,” Pitney told local Fox station.
“She was the most loving person anyone would ever know, the kindest, sweetest heart, and this person has taken a true angel from this world,” he added. “I hope this girl is prosecuted as an adult.”
Magnuson was a school bus driver, ran marathons and spoke to his son every day, his grieving son said.

A GoFundMe set up by one of Magnuson’s two sons to cover funeral expenses had raised more than $1,700 by Friday.
“Anyone who knew my mother knows that she loved all people and would give her own shirt or shoes to anyone in need, especially her friends and family,” her son wrote on the page.
The boy is currently being held at the Harris County Juvenile Detention Center.
