17,000 Migrants Apprehended in 5 Days in Texas Border Sector

Border Patrol agents assigned to the Del Rio area have apprehended more than 17,000 migrants in the past five days, according to an unofficial Border Patrol report.

Del Rio District Deputy Chief Patrol Officer Juan Bernal posted a report on X showing 17,034 immigrant arrests in the last five days. The migrants illegally crossed the border from Mexico, primarily into the Eagle Pass area of ​​operations.

Secretary Bernal called the current border crisis “unprecedented times.”

This week, agents arrested more than 3,000 migrants in 24 hours.

Breitbart Texas' Randy Clark reported that a surge of migrants has forced hundreds of people to camp near the only international bridge in Eagle Pass, Texas, with legal border crossings.

“More than 1,200 migrants were provided with thermal mylar blankets and near the International Bridge as authorities exhausted their capacity to transport and detain migrants at nearby Border Patrol stations and the only local soft-sided processing center known as Firefly. ,” Clark wrote.
