Two people were found dead in the landing gear compartment of a JetBlue plane that landed in Florida on Monday night, the airline said.
JetBlue Flight 1801 departed from New York's John F. Kennedy International Airport and landed at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport. FOX5 New York reported.
A JetBlue spokesperson told Fox News Digital that the bodies were discovered during a routine maintenance check after the plane landed in Fort Lauderdale.
“This is a heartbreaking situation and we are committed to working closely with the authorities and supporting their efforts to understand how this happened,” the spokesperson said in a statement.

Authorities have not released their identities, but an investigation into how they boarded the plane continues.
