Two people were killed and seven others injured in a shootout at a bar in a Pittsburgh suburb over the weekend, police in western Pennsylvania said.

Allegheny County police said the shooting early Sunday morning happened at Ballard’s Hooker Lounge & Cigar Bar in Penn Hills.

County police said emergency personnel found the bodies of an adult male and adult female inside the bar Sunday around 3 a.m. Seven additional victims were reported, some of whom were transported from the scene and others to hospitals, police said in a statement posted to social media.

Police said one of the victims was in critical condition, but the injuries of the others were not life-threatening.

According to county police, preliminary information indicates “an altercation occurred inside the bar and multiple individuals fired shots.”

No arrests were immediately reported. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the county police tip line at 1-833-ALL-TIPS, and may remain anonymous.
