Two suspects in connection with a deadly terrorist attack at a Moscow concert hall appeared in the city’s district court on Sunday night.

Russian authorities on Saturday arrested four suspects suspected of being involved in the attack and detained seven more. Islamic State claimed responsibility for Friday’s attack, which was confirmed by U.S. authorities.
National Security Council spokesman Adrian Watson acknowledged the Islamic State group’s responsibility in a statement reported by The Associated Press.
“ISIS is solely responsible for this attack. Ukraine was not involved in any way,” Watson said.
He also said on social media that the United States had warned Russia about a possible terrorist attack earlier this month. The US Embassy in Russia warned that “extremists” were planning an attack in Moscow and urged Americans to avoid large gatherings, including concerts.
