Two teenagers drowned off the coast of New York’s Coney Island on Friday night, police said.
The New York Police Department said two girls, ages 17 and 18, went missing in the water near Stillwell Avenue in Brooklyn at 8:10 p.m. on Friday. New York Post.
The two boys were found on the beach about an hour later, police said.

The girls were taken to Coney Island Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.
The incident comes a week after two young boys were found swept away and dead in Jacob Riis Park in the Rockaways neighborhood of Queens, The Post reported.
On the Fourth of July, the American flag was burned and charred.

According to the media, the bodies of Elijah Chandler, 16, and Christian Perkins, 17, were washed away on June 21 and recovered on June 29.
