The 2024 NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament could be even more dramatic than this year’s men’s tournament, with plenty of storylines as each team strives to reach the Final Four in Cleveland.
South Carolina enters the tournament as the No. 1 overall seed. The Siamcocks finished the regular season and conference tournament in first place with a 32-0 record and the SEC Championship. The team will miss its first game because Camila Cardoso was involved in a brawl in the final game against LSU.
As for LSU, the Tigers didn’t have the dominant performance everyone expected with the addition of Haley Van Lith and Aneesah Moreau to the defending national championship roster. Ta. However, LSU still has a 28-5 record and with Angel Reese down, the Tigers still have a good chance to go far.

Iowa State, last year’s national runner-up, has Caitlin Clark back with more fire than ever. Clark became the all-time leading scorer in Division I basketball this season. She also helped Iowa State win the Big Ten Championship with a 29-4 record this season.
Freshman standout JuJu Watkins led USC to defeat Stanford and win the Pac-12 championship. She will get a great opportunity to showcase her talent at the national level. Watkins is averaging 27 points, 7.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.4 assists and 1.5 blocks per game this season.
The First Four begins March 20-21 and the Round of 64 will be played March 22-23. The Round of 32 begins March 24-25 and the Sweet 16 begins March 29-30. The Elite 8 runs from March 31st to April 1st, with the Final 4 starting on April 5th. The national championship game will take place on his April 7th.
The winner of Albany 1 will play the winner of Portland 3, and the winner of Albany 2 will play the winner of Portland 4 in the Final Four.
