Democratic presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris has not taken questions from reporters in nearly three weeks since President Biden suspended his reelection campaign, a move that could work to Harris’ advantage, just as it did for Biden in 2020.
“She’s using a similar strategy to Biden in 2020, who of course used COVID-19 as an excuse to stay in his basement for the entire campaign,” Cody Sargent, a spokesman for Heritage Action for America, said in an interview with Fox News Digital.
“Harris is running a Trojan horse campaign,” Sargent continued. “She’s distracting people with Megan Thee Stallion, she’s running commercials for the vice president that don’t actually say anything, she’s distracting people with this big shiny object and this Trojan horse. But what’s inside that horse is socialism, the most radical candidate that’s ever come forward to lead her presidential candidacy, and she’s avoiding dealing with the media, avoiding actual interviews, avoiding in-person meetings.”

President Biden held very few press conferences during the 2020 presidential campaign. Throughout the year, he held around 12-15 press conferences or major media events, opting for virtual events instead.
“So right now, it’s working in her favor,” Sargent said, “because unfortunately, we have a compliant press in this country that is openly rooting for her.”
After being criticized for not speaking to the media for 18 days, Harris was slammed on Thursday for not taking more than two minutes to answer questions from reporters.
“Kamala declined to be interviewed because her team realized she couldn’t answer the questions — much like Biden couldn’t answer the questions, but for different reasons,” former President Trump posted on Truth Social.
