The Houston Texans are aiming to elevate their game in 2025.
After making it to the playoffs in both 2023 and 2024, they faced tough losses in the divisional rounds.
Now, quarterback CJ Stroud and the team are focused on enhancing their prospects for reaching the AFC Championship for the first time in franchise history.
To kick things off, they’ve brought in offensive coordinator Bobby Sloak, alongside former Patriots and Rams OC Nick Carrey.
“I feel like I have the tools now to take charge, to make quicker decisions, and to put my teammates in the best position possible. That’s been lacking these last two seasons,” Stroud mentioned to the press. “He really emphasizes me taking full control, and that’s exactly what I want.”
On top of the coaching changes, DeMeco Ryans traded for Eagles defensive back CJ Gardner-Johnson and Jaguars wide receiver Christian Kirk. They have also signed several experienced players like Braxton Berrios, Justin Watson, Sheldon Rankins, Cam Robinson, Laken Tomlinson, Joe Mixon, Nico Collins, and Dalton Schultz to reinforce their squad.
