Brian Kilmeade Discusses Excitement for FIFA World Cup with Alekko Eskandarian
On “Fox & Friends,” co-host Brian Kilmeade had a conversation with former men’s national team player Alekko Eskandarian about the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup. Eskandarian provided insights into the potential of the U.S. team, stressing the need for victories in group matches against Paraguay and Australia. He also touched on Major League Soccer’s initiatives, like a fully-funded academy aimed at nurturing young talent and cultivating new fan interest nationwide.
The World Cup, one of the premier sporting events globally, is set to kick off Thursday in Mexico and South Africa, with matches featuring South Korea and the Czech Republic as part of a series of group play rounds—a first for the tournament—with 48 nations participating.
Matches will occur across the United States, Mexico, and Canada, culminating in a grand finale on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
Soccer enthusiasts hoping to catch their favorite teams can tune into the World Cup broadcasts on FOX, FS1, Fox One, and Tubi.
