Nearly 20 thrill seekers were stranded on a malfunctioning amusement park ride in California for more than two hours in horrifying conditions, with some convinced they were going to die.

Park maintenance workers were eventually able to rescue all 22 riders after about two and a half hours, but some were limping and others were taken away in wheelchairs.
No one was seriously injured, but two female riders were taken to hospital for evaluation “out of an abundance of caution,” a Knott's Berry Farm spokeswoman said.
Their conditions were not immediately known.

The park only said, “The Sol Spin ride experienced a technical issue that caused the ride to stop mid-cycle.”
According to the park, the Sol Spin Ride is a high-speed spinning ride that spins in three directions at once and takes riders six stories into the air.
