At a press conference on Sunday, Palm Beach County Sheriff Rick Bradshaw said they could only provide so much security at the golf course because Trump is a presidential candidate, not a sitting president.

“You have to understand that the golf course is surrounded by shrubs,” Bradshaw said. “If someone goes into the shrubs, they can barely see anything. At this level, [Trump] “Where he is right now is because he's not a sitting president. If he were a sitting president, he would have the whole golf course under siege.”

They are relieved to learn that former President Trump is safe. Their teams will provide regular updates.”
