Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff admitted this weekend that an affair with the family’s nanny led to the end of his first marriage.
In so doing, he did not address the question of whether the wet nurse was pregnant. Alleged United Kingdom Daily Mail) or had an abortion, but that’s not the only looming issue, given that Vice President Kamala Harris has attacked Trump as a convicted felon for paying hush money to cover up an affair that took place even further back in time (2006) than her husband’s (2009).
1. Did Emhoff pressure the wet nurse into abortions, adoption or otherwise giving up her children? He was a wealthy, well-connected Hollywood entertainment lawyer, and she was just a nanny: the massive power imbalance between them is impossible to ignore, a classic #metoo element. Allegations: Did Emhoff force nanny Najen Naylor to make decisions about her body?
2. Did Emhoff, Harris, President Joe Biden or anyone else pay a nanny to keep quiet? Rumours of an affair surfaced during the 2020 election cycle, but were covered up. Daily Mail Trump reportedly lives in the Hamptons, a posh neighborhood in New York. Was she paid hush money? Was there a non-disclosure agreement? If so, was it counted as a campaign expense? If not, whoever paid her could be indicted in New York, just like Trump has been indicted.
3. Why is the media silent about this? The major Sunday morning news programs paid no attention to the Emhoff case, but gave it full coverage for days and weeks when the Stormy Daniels case emerged early in Trump’s presidency. A politician’s private life may be his own business, but that is not the case when he is seeking to humiliate, prosecute and jail his opponents for what appear to be much more minor infractions.
