Three people were killed when a Beech V35 plane crashed near Franklin in Williamson County. “This is a tragic scene,” Elrod said. “We don’t know exactly where the crash started and ended.”
There was no damage to buildings, but residents found aircraft debris in their yards, driveways and other areas of the property, ABC News reported. Portions of nearby roads will be closed Thursday to facilitate the ongoing investigation and debris removal. The plane was en route from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, to Louisville, Kentucky, when the incident occurred.
The NTSB is expected to arrive at the scene late Wednesday and begin a more detailed investigation into the crash, the outlet said.
