Three Oregon teens are on the run after escaping from a youth correctional facility Sunday night, authorities said.
The teens escaped from the McLaren Youth Correctional Facility in Woodburn around 9:12 p.m., the Oregon Department of Youth Affairs said Monday.The facility was then placed on lockdown while authorities searched.
The fugitives were identified as Angel Diaz Barrera, Julian Diaz Navarro and Xavier Swim, all 19 years old.
Oregon State Police are searching for them and have issued arrest warrants.

Salem residents Diaz-Barrera and Diaz-Navarro were sentenced in Marion County. Diaz-Barrera was at the facility for Robbery 1 and Possession and Use of a Dangerous Weapon, while Diaz-Navarro was at the facility for Attempted Assault 1 and Possession and Use of a Dangerous Weapon.
Swim, a Portland resident, was convicted in Multnomah County of attempted assault 2 and aggravated harassment.

Juvenile justice officials in the state said they could not release details about the escape due to concerns for the safety of the facility and the safety of youth and staff, the Salem Statesman Journal reported.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on the whereabouts of the runaway teens to contact Oregon State Police.

The escape follows a similar incident in 2021 in which three other teens assaulted facility staff, then cut a hole in the perimeter fence and escaped, according to the Salem Reporter. Three days later, the three were arrested in Lebanon, about 83 miles south of Woodburn.
