Florida Teacher Arrested for Alleged Sexual Relationship with Student

A Florida teacher, age 32, has been accused of engaging in sexual activities with a student during lunch hours in a classroom.

Sarajakas is a math teacher at Corner Lake Middle School, which is part of the Orange County Public Schools (OCPS) in the Orlando area.

She was taken into custody on Monday and appeared in court the following day, according to local reports.

The alleged victim, now 16, informed investigators that he had sexual encounters with Jacas when he was 14. This information came to light in an arrest warrant affidavit obtained by sources.

Reports suggest that the incidents took place between December 2022 and April 2023.

According to an OCPS representative, “The individual is a 10-month employee and does not work at OCPS during the summer.”

The principal of the school reached out to the community, assuring them that all allegations are being treated with utmost seriousness, and that investigations are underway by both law enforcement and the district’s review board.

In the message, they emphasized the priority of student safety, stating that Jacas will not return to campus until the investigation is complete.

It has been reported that the student frequently ate lunch in Jacas’ classroom, and the two maintained communication through texting until their parents got involved.

Once that channel was disrupted, it seems they shifted their conversations to Instagram.

The situation escalated when Jacas’ husband discovered the alleged exchanges and reportedly threatened to report her actions.

Jacas is facing multiple charges, including two counts of indecency with a minor, two counts of improper conduct with a minor, and one count related to a sexual offense.
