Fantasy playoffs are finally here! Hopefully, a few teams are primed for the final push. While there’s no bye week, plenty of squads are still vying for a shot at the postseason. It should be an exciting week for fantasy football. Good luck to everyone!
JJ McCarthy, Vikings vs. Cowboys
Given that you’re now in the fantasy playoffs, I think it might be wise to hold off on playing McCarthy. Sure, he had a decent game last week, and facing the Cowboys this week could be promising, but—well, just be cautious. The Cowboys’ defense has allowed the most fantasy points to quarterbacks despite their recent improvement as a team.
Jones has torn his Achilles tendon, which puts an end to his season. The Colts might consider bringing back 44-year-old Philip Rivers, sticking with current backup Riley Leonard, or, you know, taking a trip to Cancun. Whatever they decide, it’s certainly not looking great for the Colts’ offensive players in terms of fantasy.
Taylor had a groin injury last week and couldn’t return to the game. Next up, we have Brady Cook, particularly due to Justin Fields’ knee issue. If the Jets want to make any headway against the Jaguars, having Taylor back on the field would probably be essential.
Smith is dealing with multiple injuries right now, his shoulder being the latest one. It doesn’t seem like anything serious, but we should keep an eye on his practice status this week to see if he’ll play against the Eagles.
Jaden Daniels, Commander
Daniels came back from a shoulder injury last week but is now facing trouble with an elbow issue. It doesn’t look too serious, but with limited options available and Marcus Mariota performing well enough, there’s a chance Daniels might sit out this week against the Giants.
