A shooting in Kentucky’s largest city on Wednesday left one person dead and three others seriously injured, police said.

Louisville Metro Police Deputy Chief Stephen Healy told news outlets that all four victims were in a vehicle near downtown when the shooting occurred. Police spokesman Dwight Mitchell said officers were searching the area for witnesses.

“This happened in broad daylight. We strongly believe someone saw something,” Mitchell said.
Police have not released information about the possible suspect, but said on social media that they do not believe there is a danger to the public.

Police said the victim was believed to be a young man and did not release his identity.
