49ers ready to ‘honor’ Deebo Samuel’s trade request

It appears that there is a growing chance that Deebo Samuel will be traded this offseason.

The teams are talking to each other at the combine on a wide range of scenarios, including the NFL Draft, trading and free agency, with John Lynch, the general manager of the 49ers, allowing Samuel to find the next team.

“We're at least making him visible.” Lynch said. “We have a good relationship with Deebo. He's called for a fresh start and I think we're going to respect that. I don't like seeing great players leave, and he's a great player.”

With the 49ers being prepared to honor Samuel's trade requests, the team will certainly line up and try to get a recipient of his quality.

He and Rams receiver Coop P could be two of the best reception options available through trade this offseason.

Lynch adds that for Samuel there was “a lot of interest around the league,” implying that the conversation was already there.

Samuel appears to want a deal due to his frustration with his role in San Francisco.

He's stepped away from the worst “mainly” healthy season of his career, playing in 15 games, accumulating only 670 receiving yards and three touchdowns.

Teams with receiver needs include the Commander, Steelers and Broncos.

The veteran will pay him $23.8 million, as he will pay him the money of the top receiver of Fringe.
