Shedule Sanders – Colorado
Sanders, the son of Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, has already solidified himself as one of the most interesting quarterback prospects ahead of the 2025 draft.
He is mobile, confident in his passes to the pocket, accurate, and has strong arms and legs. Sanders has the qualities teams are looking for in a potential franchise man.
He chose to forego this year’s draft and return to Colorado with his father. He had a terrible season in Colorado despite starting 3-0. Sanders’ first season with the Buffaloes ended with a 4-8 season (1-8 in Pac-12 play).

The 6-foot-2, 215-pound signal-caller threw for 3,230 yards, 27 touchdowns and just three interceptions in 11 games last season, completing 69.3 percent of his passes on 430 attempts.
Sanders has an NFL pedigree considering his father’s Hall of Fame accomplishments, and evaluators will be looking to see what he can do in his second year, when he may scramble too much or slow. I hope they have a better offensive line that doesn’t force them. Areas where he shouldn’t be.

Quinn Ewers – Texas
He led the Longhorns to the College Football Playoff last season, but they ultimately lost to Michael Penix Jr., the No. 8 overall pick in this year’s draft, and the Washington Huskies.
Ewers was also a player who could have gone to the NFL, but decided to stay with head coach Steve Sarkisian and see if he could make it to the national title game this time around.
A talented wide receiver, including Kansas City Chiefs first-round pick Xavier Worthy, Ewers threw for 3,479 yards, 22 touchdowns and six interceptions in 12 games in his second year at Texas. That was a huge improvement from the 2,177 yards and 15 touchdowns he gained in 10 games in 2022.
Ewers, a strong pocket passer, and Sarkisian, a quarterback guru, will continue to work together to see if he can live up to his reputation as a top player and quarterback in his high school class. Sho. Footwork and deep ball accuracy will be areas to watch for Ewers in 2024.
Carson Beck – Georgia
Beck and the Bulldogs were on their way to becoming national champions last season, but lost to Alabama in the SEC Championship Game and ultimately missed out on a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Beck finally got his chance to become the team’s full-time starter before returning to Georgia State and head coach Kirby Smart for his fifth season. He had 3,941 yards, 24 touchdowns, and six interceptions for a 72.4 percent completion rate.

He has a typical quarterback build at 6 feet 4 inches tall and 215 pounds, and his game is a classic that allows him to get the ball anywhere thanks to his precise mechanics and ability to feel and overcome pressure. This shows that he is a pocket passer.
Experience will be a big key for Beck, who returns this season. It won’t be until 2024-2025 that Beck could solidify a first-round pick with more solid play for the Bulldogs.
Jalen Milroe – Alabama
Karen DeBoer heads to Alabama from Washington with a lot of expectations on her shoulders after taking over the Crimson Tide program from Nick Saban, who abruptly retired after last year’s College Football Playoff appearance.
But what helps DeBoer and his offensive mind is Milroe returning as Alabama’s starting quarterback, which could boost his draft stock in the same way Penix did when he joined the Huskies two years ago.

Milroe finished with 2,834 yards and 23 passing touchdowns, but rushed for 531 yards and 12 touchdowns, falling just short of the national title game.
Milroe is expected to unleash a new level of play under DeBoer in 2024. NFL teams will want to see more of what Milroe has worked on this spring, his progression and pocket presence before taking off with his signature elusiveness.
If Milroe can continue to develop into the first-round talent many expect him to be, a Heisman Trophy could be in Milroe’s future.
Cam Ward – Miami
The Hurricanes program has decided that Ward will not enter this year’s draft. Ward was a star at Washington State last season, throwing for 3,726 yards, 25 touchdowns, seven interceptions and a 66.6% completion percentage. This came after totaling 23 touchdowns and 3,232 yards in 2022.
Ward’s experience will also be seen at FCS school Immaculate Word, where he will be in his fifth collegiate season in Miami, where he could improve his draft stock.

This is expected to be the most difficult assignment for Ward, who plays in the ACC, to date with the Hurricanes. And while he’s not considered a first-round talent, all that could change, as Michigan’s JJ McCarthy did on his way to a national title last season.
