Fire safety issues and some injuries have led to the recall of the LG electrical range of 500,000 people.
The 50,000 LG slide-in range and the free-standing range are Fox Business, the subject of the recall It has been reported February 7th.

Consumers should contact LG for free warning labels and placement instructions. The label reminds consumers to use the Lockout/Control Lock feature of the Range Control Panel to disable activation of the heating element when the Range is not in use.

Consumers keep children and pets away from the knob, check the knobs in the range to make sure they are off before leaving the house or going to bed, and leave the object in range when the range is not in use. Be careful not to do so.
CPSC has received at least 86 reports of unintended activation of the front mount knob. These LG ranges have been involved in more than 28 fires. At least five fires have resulted in massive property damage totaling over $340,000. At least eight minor injuries have been reported, including burns, and three reports of fires, including pet deaths.
The appliances were sold in additional stores on Best Buy, Costco, Home Depot, Lowe's and LG websites.
“Depending on the model, this range was sold for $1,400 to $2,650 between 2015 and January 2025,” CSPC said.
In 2019, several California cities banned gas stove connections to combat what is called “global warming,” Breitbart News reported at the time.
“Thirteen California cities and one county have introduced zoning codes, encouraging or requesting new construction of all electricity, and builders carry fuel equipment, including fuel equipment and ovens to their homes and apartments. It effectively prohibits this,” the report states.
