Six people were injured in a horrific wrong-way crash on the Hutchinson River Parkway in Westchester early Monday morning, and police say the driver of the car traveling the wrong way continued to fight for his life.
Photos of the crash, which occurred just after midnight in the northbound lanes of the Parkway in Rye Brook, show cars badly damaged, with one torn apart.
The driver of the wrong-way vehicle suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to Westchester Medical Center, police said.
The five occupants of the other vehicle were also taken to Westchester Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
The vehicle was towed around 6:30 a.m., police said, and northbound lanes of the parkway were closed and traffic was directed onto Lincoln Avenue.

All six northbound lanes of Hutchinson River Parkway have since reopened. Westchester News 12 reported.
The circumstances of the collision remain under investigation by detectives from the Westchester County Police Department's Accident Investigation Team and General Investigation Division.
