While some may remember the details of President-elect Donald Trump's second assassination attempt, many have forgotten about the young girl who was seriously injured in a car crash by a would-be gunman.

The chase ended in a horrific accident that left six-year-old Mia Rosalie Monreal with severe brain damage and a month-long coma.

Pardo also told the outlet that he was in a car accident and hasn't been able to have clear conversations with his daughter since then. Pardo said Mia's eyes were open but she was severely lacking in consciousness and responsiveness.
“She can't communicate, so even if I talk to her, I don't even know if she remembers me,” Pardo said. WPTV. “I don't know if she knows me, but I don't either,” Pardo said. “It's a miracle she's still alive. I can't imagine what she went through and how she almost lost her life.”

Ryan Routh, 58, remains in federal custody.
He has been charged with five federal crimes, including attempting to assassinate a presidential candidate.
Authorities also recently announced new charges against Routh for the injuries to the girls.
A federal trial date is scheduled for September 2025.
