The terrorist organization Hezbollah fired around 100 rockets into northern Israel on Friday, killing at least seven Hezbollah operatives by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), The Times of Israel reported.
An IDF source confirmed to Fox News Digital that at least two of the terrorists killed in Wednesday’s attack belonged to the group’s rocket and missile unit.
Mohammed Mahmoud Negm, described as a “high-value” operative, was killed by the Israeli Air Force in the Aita el-Zot region of southern Lebanon.

According to an IDF official, the Israeli Air Force also struck another terrorist named Said Mahmoud Dayeb in the Tyre area.
The remaining four operatives were reportedly killed. Individual attacks across southern Lebanon The IDF carried out strikes, including on a Hezbollah cell that was reportedly preparing to launch a rocket attack from the village of Ta’ir Halfa.
No injuries or deaths were reported in Israel following the incident that day.
Hezbollah fired around 40 rockets across the Lebanese border into Israel, with Upper Galilee appearing to bear the brunt of the rocket attacks.

The Israel Defense Forces said “several” projectiles were intercepted, but did not specify how many.
The attack comes as Jerusalem prepares for all-out war with Iran following threats from Tehran earlier this month.
U.S., Egyptian and Qatari officials are trying to reach a ceasefire agreement between Hamas and Israel in the hope that it will deter a larger war with Israel, Iran and Iranian proxies, including Hezbollah, which is heavily funded by Iran.

Hamas and Israel have yet to agree on the terms, which are centred mainly around concerns about a security corridor in the Gaza Strip.
But even if terms could be agreed to, Israeli defense officials told Fox News Digital they were highly skeptical it would lead to a lasting peace in the region.
Israeli security experts continue to assess that Hezbollah remains the greatest threat.
