At least seven children between the ages of 12 and 17 were injured in a shooting in downtown Indianapolis late Saturday night.
Officers were on patrol shortly after 11 p.m. when they heard gunshots near Circle Center Mall, a downtown shopping plaza. Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department told FOX59.
After rushing to the West Maryland Street area, officers found a “large group of juveniles” including six people suffering from gunshot wounds, Deputy Police Chief Tanya Terry said at a news conference Sunday morning. Stated. According to CNN.
All of the victims were taken to local hospitals, and a seventh person later arrived, Terry said.
One child arrived at the hospital in critical condition, but has since been stabilized, authorities said.
All victims were in stable condition by Sunday morning.
According to police, four boys and three girls were injured in the shooting.

This mall is located in the heart of the Hoosier capital’s downtown nightlife district, with several lively bars and restaurants nearby.
It was not immediately clear what led to the shooting.
No suspects were in custody as of Sunday morning.
