7-year-old boy took his little sister to McDonald’s

A 7-year-old boy managed to drive his younger sister nine miles just to grab some breakfast at McDonald’s. His mother expressed disbelief, saying, “There’s probably some evidence of this for the rest of his life.”

On April 27th, at around 8 a.m., police in Ogden, Utah, received reports of a reckless driver. The caller mentioned that “the driver looked like a young child,” which prompted officers to investigate.

The boys’ white SUV came to a stop when it reached the parking lot. Thankfully, both he and his 5-year-old sister were found to be unhurt.

Authorities realized they were nine miles away from their home in Clearfield.

Whitney Bush, their mother, learned of her son’s escapade when officers contacted her, detailing the surprising way they found two of her four children.

“I absolutely had my heart in my stomach… I didn’t know what was going on,” Bush shared. “I don’t think I’ll wake up thinking my 7-year-old could take off like that.”

According to Bush, given his age, her son wasn’t in trouble with the police, but she certainly was worrying.

She remarked, “I’m not proud of him,” adding that he might need to do some community service to “make up for this.”

“He’s in serious trouble and probably grounded for the rest of his life,” she noted.

Bush went on to explain that her son has struggled with behavioral issues and might have been inspired by his dreams of becoming a truck driver.

“I told him that’s not the case today; he has to wait,” she concluded.
