70-Year-Old Golfer Hit by SUV During Car Chase on Chicago Golf Course: Video

A 70-year-old golfer sustained serious injuries after being struck by a black SUV while playing at a golf course in the Chicago area. This alarming event unfolded when a car chase unexpectedly transformed the fairway into a chaotic scene, as shown in wild video footage.

The elderly golfer was hit by an “angry” driver in an out-of-control SUV at Billy Caldwell Golf Course in Edgebrook on Monday.

As one golfer, Edwaters, mentioned, “The silver sedan was pursuing SUVs that seemed intent on some sort of recklessness around the course.”

Another witness described the SUV as “flying across the golf course,” contributing to the panic among onlookers.

In the video, a sedan can be seen actively chasing an SUV over the rolling green landscape while some golfers watched in disbelief.

During this pursuit, the SUV driver struck an unidentified golfer near the fifth hole, according to reports.

Jim Wolfer, a neighbor who heard the commotion, recounted, “I came out and saw this older gentleman lying in the grass, surrounded by two women who were trying to help him. When I got there, he was conscious and able to see me.”

Wolfer also shared that the course’s GM managed to chase the SUV driver to another hole, where police subsequently arrived.

A bystander reported that the driver flashed what appeared to be a 3-inch blade upon exiting the vehicle.

The injured golfer was taken to St. Francis Hospital, where he is currently in the intensive care unit. Meanwhile, the SUV driver is in custody, pending charges.
