75 best fantasy football PPR running backs for Week 5

We’re already five weeks into the fantasy football season. However, before we move on, it’s worth reflecting on some surprises from Week 4. This week, the RB3 and RB4 spots were filled by Kenny Gainwell and Justice Hill, while rookie Ashton Janti and veteran Josh Jacobs topped the list. It’s no shock that Jacobs came in at number one, but given his slow start, it was refreshing to see. Hill stepped up after Lamar Jackson’s injury in the third quarter, scoring two touchdowns and racking up over 110 yards. Gainwell, on the other hand, was certainly a surprise, especially with his 134 yards and two touchdowns, considering Jaylen Warren had a last-minute scratch.

Irving is one of the top fantasy players this year, but now there’s concern about his health. Unfortunately, we don’t have details about the injury yet. Head coach Todd Bowles mentioned he would undergo an MRI due to worries. If he’s unable to play against the Seahawks this week, it might mean more work for Rachard White and Sean Tucker.

Benson has not practiced during the Cardinals’ initial walkthrough, and the team even signed Michael Carter to their 53-man roster. While it’s hard to say how this all shakes out, if you’re counting on Benson, it might be smart to consider other options just in case.

Allen might be placed on IR due to a PCL sprain. If that happens, he’ll be out for at least four weeks, which would likely increase Brace Hall’s workload as the season winds down.

Woody Marks, Texans vs. Ravens

Marks has led in multiple categories: snaps, attempts, yards, touchdowns, targets, and receptions. This week, he faces the Ravens, who have struggled defensively this year. They are currently ranked last in terms of fantasy points allowed for various positions, which highlights their ongoing issues.

Rachaad White, Buccaneers vs. Seahawks

This situation leans heavily on Bucky Irving, who is currently sidelined due to an undisclosed injury. Details are scarce, but with an MRI on the way, there’s legitimate concern. Sean Tucker may have a shot to start, but I think the team might lean more towards White, particularly for pass protection. The matchups don’t look dazzling, but the Buccaneers have a solid offense, and White is likely to see extra touches.
