At the end of Wednesday night’s game between the Clippers and 76ers, things got really tough.
And Philadelphia was rather furious, to say the least.
With 5.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter and Los Angeles leading by one point, there was a jump ball and subsequent tipoff at center court, and the 76ers were having one last gasp to win the game — but they missed the shot. Unable to do so, they fell 108-107.
But the lack of shots at the end of the game wasn’t the only reason Philadelphia was upset. The reason was his inability to make shots that upset head coach Nick Nurse and the team.
After the 76ers took control of the tip, the ball was passed around to Kelly Oubre.
His eventual drive to the basket appeared to be intercepted by Paul George when the Clippers star took his foot off his feet to block the shot and his body made contact with Oubre in mid-air.
By the time Oubre was about to miss his final shot, the buzzer had already sounded, giving the Clippers a thriller victory.
The nurse, apparently frustrated at not being contacted, quickly got into an argument with the staff member and had to be stopped by one of the staff members.
Coach Oubre seemed to point out each of the umpires and say something to them.
“I think [Oubre] I thought about it pretty intensely and looked at it several times on the computer. ” After the game, the nurse spoke to reporters.. “There was definitely some contact, certainly as much as the last couple of times I was called an and-one on the other side. I just thought a phone call would be enough.”

The winning score, as Nurse said, came from Kawhi Leonard’s two-point basket and subsequent free throw.
The 76ers, who are still without star Joel Embiid, are in eighth place in the Eastern Conference with a 39-34 record.
