Ta. “Adding some cheer to the holiday season, 7UP Shirley Temple is a refreshing twist on a beloved classic, featuring bright pomegranate and cherry flavors and a hint of citrus in every sip.”
The “celebratory” canned 7UP Shirley Temple combines 7UP and grenadine flavors, “featuring lively pomegranate and cherry flavors with a citrus note in every bite,” Springate added.
When fans recently discovered rumors from Instagram's Gourmet account @snackolatorthey were overjoyed, with multiple saying the release was a “dream come true.”
“Latest taste ever. My kids and grandkids are going to love it,” one person said.
“It's about time one of the major soda brands released Shirley Temple,” another wrote.
“Honestly, what took you so long?” someone asked.
Broadway star and “Wicked” alum Kristin Chenoweth agreed, commenting, “I want it!!!”
One fan said he wanted to use it as a mixer because “a little vodka might make a nice adult ST.”
To make Dirty Shirley, the brand recommends mixing 5 ounces of 7UP Shirley Temple with 1 ounce of vodka, a splash of maraschino cherry juice, and the latter's garnish.
The company has confirmed that the nostalgic mocktail will be hitting stores in ready-to-drink versions, available in 12-packs of 12-ounce cans and 2-liter bottles, including a zero-sugar version.
7UP Shirley Temple will be available nationwide for a limited time from October 15th to December 31st, 2024, while supplies last.
