A young Alabama mother was allegedly kidnapped, then tortured, sexually assaulted and murdered by a group of eight suspects, whose perpetrators recorded the horrific attack.
Video obtained by Birmingham police showed Mahogany Jackson, 20, being beaten and forced to perform sex acts at gunpoint, Detective Mark Green testified in court Monday.

Police believe the suspects transported Jackson to Lewis and McCall’s apartment, where further acts of violence were recorded.
Birmingham investigators said Jackson was handcuffed and subjected to sustained assault by the group, including being spat at, slapped and pistol-whipped.
Detective Green said a video of the young mother being forced to perform sex acts was also posted on social media. In the video, the suspects can be heard telling Jackson, “I’m about to die.”
Jackson’s body was found the next day at an illegal dumping site with a gunshot wound to the back of the head, WBRC reported. One lawyer described the place as “the road of the dead.”
Prosecutors charged Jovonnie Clapp, 23, and Blair Green, 25, with felony murder, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree sodomy.
McCall was charged with felony murder, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree sodomy, while Lewis was charged with felony murder.
Jeremiah McDowell, 18, Francis Harris, 25, and Pope were all charged with capital murder during first-degree kidnapping and capital murder during first-degree sodomy.

Heartbroken mother Gail Maddox has appealed to the public to stop sharing videos of her daughter’s violent torture.
