Teen Party Causes Chaos at Airbnb Mansion
About 800 unruly teens wreaked havoc at a Texas mansion listed on Airbnb, resulting in significant property damage during a chaotic party that spiraled into violence, including gunfire.
Cops from the Celina Police Department were called to the scene on March 21 after multiple 911 calls reported gunshots and threats from armed individuals. Officials noted that, “As soon as shots were fired, 911 calls started coming in. We also received reports that there were 10 men at the front gate with guns and threatening to kill someone,” according to Police Chief John Callison.
Callison emphasized that this information propelled the officers to act decisively. Once inside, the scale of the party became evident. The social media promotion for the event indicated it was intended for a much smaller group, with roughly 500 to 800 people spotted at the property, including minors as young as 15 and adults up to 25.
Body camera footage captured the chaotic scene as teens fled upon officers’ arrival. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries. Inside, videos revealed loud music, dancing on countertops, and a general atmosphere of disorder.
The property owner, Kishore Kallapudi, expressed shock over the destruction. He explained that the individual who booked the mansion claimed it was for just seven guests. The damage included ruined kitchen countertops and other household fixtures. Kallapudi described finding mirrors and paintings removed from the walls, alongside broken glass and debris littering the space.
“We were completely shocked. They damaged property. They took all the furniture from the living space and put it in the garage,” he remarked.
Reports also indicated that a minor was arrested for suspected DUI, while another individual with an existing warrant was detained. Callison mentioned that the police department continues to investigate the incident and has reached out to parents with a warning.
He urged parents to discuss personal responsibility and the potential risks of such situations with their children. “As a police chief and a parent, I encourage our community to use this incident as an opportunity for those important conversations,” he concluded.
