’80s star Heather Thomas left Hollywood over stalkers

Heather Thomas experienced the dark side of Hollywood after becoming “The Man of Autumn.”

Thomas revealed “Never Here Hollywood” podcast After time on the hit show, she was attacked in a horrifying situation involving a stalker.

Thomas joined The Fall Guy from 1981 until the end of the series in 1986. He took on several other roles after the show ended, including the films Red Blooded American Girl and Against the Law, but left Hollywood behind in the 90s.

“I was just getting a lot of stalkers,” she said before explaining it was “really bad.” Thomas has reached a week where he is dealing with two stalkers, she told podcast host Steve Kumecco.

“I had a lot of restraint orders. I had two little girls and one guy jumping through our gates with a huge back knife. I don't know if this is true now or not at the time, but people are fancy.

She described her experience as “scary” and even received threatening items in the mail.

“Someone sent me a box of bullets. People sent me a funeral wreath that I stole from the cemetery,” the actress shared.

Thomas continued. “I always had a bodyguard at home because that's because I didn't want to go back to the dark house.”

She explained that things became violent when the man tried to break into the bedroom.

“I shot him as a man cut out a screen in the bedroom overnight and shot him,” she said, clarifying that there was rock salt in the firearm. Thomas is still unsure if the intruder went to prison.

Thomas said he was not open about her stalking in the past because he didn't want to be labeled “stalked woman.”

In the podcast episode, Thomas also discussed sexualising in Hollywood.

“I think there's some degree of separation,” she said of the industry. “It was really my business. It was like a woman who sold a swimsuit. That was the way I sold things.”

Thomas said she was “happy” in her body because she “worked so hard.”

When Thomas made her Hollywood debut, she was a UCLA student and wanted to focus on writing and directing, but she quickly learned that it was “rough” for women.

She ultimately chose to be camera, as opposed to being behind the scenes for her pay. Thomas said she chose the path “least resistance” because she “makes so much money.”
