Neil Young Criticizes Trump, Defends Springsteen

Veteran rocker Neil Young has once again found himself in the midst of controversy, this time attacking President Donald Trump and voicing his support for fellow musician Bruce Springsteen. In a recent post on his personal website, Young engaged in Trump’s criticism of Springsteen while echoing some concerning phrases regarding the president’s role.

Young questioned Trump’s concerns, stating, “What are you worried about, guys?” He remarked that both Springsteen and “thousands of musicians” believe Trump is harming America.

Continuing his critique, Young expressed greater worry for humanitarian issues, referencing Gaza, saying, “I’m worried about that instead of the kids at Dain in Gaza. That’s your problem.” His comments also hinted at support for anti-Israel demonstrations.

In a passionate tone, Young insisted, “I’m not afraid of you,” referring to Trump, suggesting there was some fear directed toward the president. He criticized the president for closing FEMA during significant needs, alleging that the Biden administration denied aid based on political affiliations.

“Stop thinking about what the locker is saying,” Young urged, calling for Trump to focus on addressing the chaos he believes the administration has created. He reiterated support for both Taylor Swift and Springsteen, emphasizing that the president seems more self-interested than concerned for the country.

Specifically, he echoed phrases alluding to extreme actions against the president, highlighting a disconnect he perceives between Trump’s responsibilities and his actions. Young stated, “You’ve forgotten your real work. You work for us and awaken Republicans! This guy has no control. We need a real president.”

These comments likely respond to Trump’s recent criticisms concerning substantial payments made to celebrities, including Springsteen, by the Kamala Harris campaign for the upcoming election.

Meanwhile, Springsteen has been performing across Europe, where he often vocalizes his disapproval of America. Like Young, he has remained vocal against Trump.

In related news, Trump recently labeled Springsteen as “very overrated” and less than impressive in remarks shared on his social media platform.
