8M Illegal Aliens to Live Freely in U.S. While Awaiting Deportation

More than 8 million illegal aliens will live freely in the United States without being detained by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) while awaiting deportation by the end of 2024, according to a federal plan.

President Joe Biden is likely to nearly triple ICE’s non-custodial documentation by the end of his first term in the White House. ICE’s non-custodial record includes illegal aliens living in U.S. towns and cities who are not in the agency’s custody but are awaiting deportation from the United States.

As reported by Breitbart News, by the end of fiscal year 2023, 6.2 million illegal aliens will be living in the U.S. not in ICE custody and awaiting deportation, and 1.3 million of them will receive a final hearing from a federal immigration judge. has received a deportation order.

According to internal federal records, Axios report By the end of 2024, the number of illegal aliens on ICE’s non-custodial registry will rise to more than 8 million. This is nearly three times the 3.2 million undocumented immigrants listed in the 2020 register.

In early 2024, Sen. Roger Marshall (R-KS), Sen. Eric Schmidt (R-Missouri), Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL), and Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) ), Sens. Mike Braun (R-IN), and Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) filed a complaint against Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas for dramatically increasing ICE’s non-custodial documents. A vote of confidence was requested.

Marshall will implement a “Release and Report Management” (RRM) program to “increase illegal immigration by rewarding lawbreakers and significantly reducing the number of aliens subject to deportation.” Mayorkas’ plan was strongly criticized.

The RRM program ensures that illegal aliens on ICE’s non-custodial records simply need to “check in” with the agency annually after being released into U.S. soil.

Mayorkas plans to work with the RRM program to roll out the ICE Secure Docket Card program, which gives newly arrived illegal aliens a photo ID card upon release into the interior of the United States. These photo IDs will work in conjunction with the agency’s case management pilot program, which provides taxpayer-funded benefits to illegal aliens in deportation proceedings.
