Miss Kay Robertson’s Health Update
Miss Kay Robertson’s health has reportedly improved following her recent fall and the death of Phil Robertson, the patriarch of “Duck Dynasty.” In a conversation with Fox News Digital, Willie and Korie Robertson shared that Miss Kay has been feeling down after Phil’s passing, as they were married for over 60 years.
Phil passed away on May 25th at the age of 79. He had been suffering from Alzheimer’s disease.
After Phil’s death, Willie noted a decline in Miss Kay’s health. “Kay is not healthy,” he said, emphasizing the family’s struggles to support her during this tough time. However, he recently indicated that her condition has taken a positive turn. “She’s doing really well,” he mentioned, reflecting on how Kay coped with her grief. It’s understandable, really—such a long-lasting partnership must create profound sadness when it’s over.
Willie elaborated, “I think she was really depressed after Phil passed away. You’ve spent over 60 years with someone and then lose them—it’s a lot to process.” But he added that she’s been attending church and is even traveling a bit more now. “She’s on our show,” he mentioned, bringing a small smile to his voice.
Korie added details about Miss Kay’s recent appearances, including her participation in the “Duck Call Room” podcast where she humorously pointed out, “I’m tired of being dead.” This lightheartedness seems to be a sign of her resilience.
Willie also shared that leaning on faith has been a source of strength for Kay since Phil’s passing. “We are grateful knowing he’s with the Lord,” he expressed, reflecting on the comfort in faith during tough times.
Kay’s health concerns first came to public attention back in April when Jace revealed on their podcast that she had suffered a fall, which led to a serious infection and hospitalization. Due to her health struggles, she was noticeably absent from significant family events, like the “Duck Dynasty: Revival” premiere party in June.
Looking ahead, it seems Miss Kay will be involved in the upcoming second season of “The Duck Dynasty: The Resurrection,” which is set to premiere early next year. The family is currently filming, and it appears there’s much to look forward to as they navigate this new chapter together.
The original “Duck Dynasty” show ran for 11 seasons from 2012 to 2017, at one point attracting as many as 11.8 million viewers, which speaks to the family’s connection with the audience. As they transition into this new phase, it’s noteworthy how they continue to share their stories and experiences.
