Johnny Manziel shares his thoughts on returning to the NFL

Johnny Manziel’s NFL Potential and Career Reflections

Johnny Manziel, noted for winning the Heisman Trophy, may forever remain a figure of speculation in NFL history. After being selected by the Cleveland Browns in the first round in 2014, his professional journey has seen ups and downs, including two seasons in the NFL and subsequent stints in the Canadian Football League and the Alliance of American Football.

In a recent episode of Logan Paul’s “Impulse” podcast, Manziel hinted at a possible return to the NFL. When asked about the feasibility of him becoming a quarterback again, he recounted a moment from last year when he began working out and throwing the football, contemplating if he could still get in shape.

“At some point, I thought, ‘Okay, I might try to come back,’” Manziel said. “I even called my agent. He suggested looking into leagues like the UFL or XFL. But then I just thought, ‘These small leagues? There’s no way I’m going back to that.’”

He mentioned an idea of joining a lesser league for a few games, possibly to earn an invitation to a training camp. However, he expressed some uncertainty about his prospects: “I think my chances… I mean, 32. That might be what I can do,” he reflected.

During his time with the Browns, Manziel played 14 games from 2014 to 2015, achieving seven touchdown passes and accumulating 1,675 passing yards. His career has sparked many questions about what could have been, leaving fans to ponder the “what-ifs” of his journey.
