Astronomer criticizes 'false' Andy Byron remark following CEO's Coldplay kiss cam controversy

Andy Byron recently made headlines due to a contentious statement about a kiss cam incident, but it’s been flagged as fake.

The CEO of Astronomer responded to claims on Thursday, stating that the announcement was “not real.”

The statement, which spread rapidly online, expressed disappointment following a video of the married Byron at a Coldplay concert.

At the concert, frontman Chris Martin humorously remarked on Byron and his companion’s discreet behavior, suggesting they seemed “shy” or perhaps even “cheating.”

Byron and the identity of the companion, Christine Cabot, were highlighted in the reports on Thursday.

The alleged statement started with a reflection on how a joyful night turned into a significant personal error made in a public space.

It included an “honest” apology to Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan, and extended to his family and colleagues.

The supposed message emphasized how much they mean to him, asserting that he wants to be the right representation of himself and his company.

It also mentioned a need for “privacy” and “time to reflect” while addressing Martin and concert attendee Grace Springer, who shared the viral footage.

The statement concluded with a somber note about artists’ responsibility, lamenting how what should have been a private moment became public without his approval.

The fake message ended quoting Coldplay’s “Fix You,” sending a nod to the band’s emotional connection.

Byron has not offered any immediate clarification regarding the issue.

In another supposed statement, he humorously acknowledged his “unforgivable” love for Coldplay’s music.

As of now, Byron, Cabot, and Kerrigan, who have been making headlines, have yet to publicly address the ongoing situation.

During the performance, Martin also joked with another couple about their relationship status while on the Kiss Cam.

This incident wasn’t highlighted when Coldplay shared their recap of the concert on Instagram the following day.

Fans reacted humorously online, with some questioning if there was more to the story.
