Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR Chief Kristin Cabot placed on leave after Coldplay kiss cam reveals suspected affair

Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Cabot have reportedly been suspended amidst an investigation into their relationship.

A colleague, who gained attention for being caught canoeing at this week’s Coldplay concert, has since been taken on vacation quickly in light of the scandal, as reported on Friday.

Page 6 reached out to the relevant parties at the astronomer but received no immediate response.

Byron and Cabot’s public displays of affection have drawn considerable media scrutiny, especially since Byron is reportedly married.

Byron’s wife, Megan Kerrigan Byron, has taken steps to distance herself online by removing her husband’s last name from her accounts following footage of Byron and Cabot at the concert earlier this week.

Cabot, on the other hand, is divorced; Massachusetts court records reveal she ended her marriage to Kenneth Thornby in 2018, finalizing the separation by 2022.

The astronomer announced on Friday that a formal inquiry has commenced regarding the matter.

The company stated, “Astronomers are devoted to the values and culture that have guided us since our inception. Our leaders should exemplify both conduct and accountability.”

“The board has initiated a formal investigation and will provide more details shortly.”

Additionally, it was mentioned that Alyssa Stoddard was not present at the concert and no other employees appeared in the viral video. Byron has not commented, asserting that all other reports are erroneous.

A representative from the public relations team stated that “Alyssa wasn’t present. This rumor originated on Twitter,” adding that any resemblance noted in expressions was unfounded.

Similar to Byron, Cabot has yet to address the situation, and both have remained silent on social media.

Chris Martin, the lead singer of Coldplay, has not commented on the incident either. At one concert, he humorously suggested that the couple might either be having an affair or simply be shy, later expressing hope that nothing inappropriate occurred.
