At a Coldplay concert, astronomer CEO Andy Byron and HR chief Christine Cabot found themselves in an awkward situation, captured in a viral video.
The clip shows the pair sharing affectionate moments together outside of a notable jumbotron segment. The footage reveals them embracing as they listened to Coldplay’s song “Yellow.”
Concert-goers caught their public displays of affection, which raised eyebrows online. Onlookers noted Byron tightly holding Cabot, and moments later, the band’s frontman Chris Martin called attention to them, saying, “Look at these two!” This caused the duo to panic and attempt to duck out of sight.
Martin, teasingly, suggested they were “cheating,” adding a layer of humor to the situation. In the original clip, they were spotted during a “Kiss Cam” moment.
In the midst of all this, Byron appeared to exclaim something along the lines of, “F-Keyking Hell, that’s me,” while Cabot seemed to express frustration to another attendee, saying, “This is annoying.”
Meanwhile, Martin jokingly remarked, “They’re either cheating or very shy. I hope we didn’t do anything wrong.”
Interestingly, Byron is currently married to Megan Kerrigan Byron, who has since removed his last name from her social media accounts following the incident. Meanwhile, Cabot appears to be married to Andrew Cabot, CEO of Privateer Rum. Records indicate they co-own a $2.2 million home in Rye, New Hampshire.
In response to the controversy, the company announced an official investigation into the incident, emphasizing their commitment to maintaining ethical leadership. They stated on LinkedIn, “Our leaders are expected to set standards in both conduct and accountability.” Sources later confirmed that both Byron and Cabot took leave from their positions at the company soon after the event.
