Allison Sweeney Embraces Life in Arizona
Allison Sweeney, the former star of “Days of Our Lives,” moved her family from California to Arizona a few years ago, and she has no regrets about that decision.
In a recent conversation with Fox News Digital, the 48-year-old actress shared insights into her life since leaving Los Angeles. She explained that she is now focusing more on health and wellness rather than the typical Hollywood lifestyle. “Honestly, I don’t miss Hollywood,” she said, adding, “I miss my family. I love them, and I visit often. They may not be tied to the Hollywood scene, but I’m excited about my life now.” Sweeney emphasized her current interests and values that prioritize personal well-being.
Hollywood’s Pull and Finding Balance
Sweeney’s journey in the acting world began at just four years old when she landed a role in a Kodak commercial. Since then, she has carved out a successful career, particularly known for her long-running role as Sami in the soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”
Back in 2019, she highlighted how being a child actor often comes with pressures related to beauty and body image. Fortunately, she managed to navigate those challenges by learning to recognize her own worth and developing self-confidence. While many child actors succumb to fame’s allure, Sweeney remained grounded, often crediting her family for helping her stay focused.
Nowadays, Sweeney relishes a more typical lifestyle, with a strong emphasis on maintaining her health. “As a busy mom, I really can’t afford any setbacks with my health,” she remarked, referring to her two children with husband David Sanov. Sweeney expressed her satisfaction with her partnership with Align Probiotics, sharing that her journey toward better health is something she and many others are now striving for.
Healthy Choices and Family Focus
“Signing up for a ‘skinny’ goal isn’t the answer,” she noted. “It’s about embracing a healthy lifestyle. It’s a marathon, not a sprint,” she added, suggesting that achieving wellness requires patience and a long-term view. Family plays a pivotal role in her larger goals, reminding her of what truly matters.
Sweeney recently commemorated 25 years of marriage to Sanov and reflected on the significance of appreciating the little things in life. “Communication is key,” she explained. “I know it might sound cheesy, but simple gestures—checking in with each other—mean a lot.” She emphasizes the importance of recognizing and valuing those everyday moments.
