Titans' Will Levis sidelined for the 2025 season

Tennessee Titans quarterback Will Levis will not participate in the 2025 season. The team announced this just days before training camp was set to begin.

According to the Titans, Levis made the decision to undergo shoulder surgery after discussions with his doctors and representatives. The team’s statement expressed support for his focus on long-term health, highlighting his professionalism and growth as a leader during the offseason.

Levis had previously suffered a right shoulder injury early last season, and it appears he exacerbated it during the 2024 season. Reports indicate he struggled with ongoing discomfort.

Selected in the second round of the 2023 NFL Draft, Levis stepped in as the Titans’ quarterback after Malik Willis didn’t meet expectations and Ryan Tannehill was sidelined. Over the 2023 and 2024 seasons, he played 21 games, throwing for 3,899 yards and 21 touchdowns, though the Titans only managed a 5-16 record during his starts.

This year, Tennessee holds the No. 1 pick in the draft and has chosen quarterback Cam Ward. With Levis out, it looks like Ward will lead the line for the upcoming season, while Brandon Allen and Tim Boyle are also on the roster as quarterbacks.
